Tom Brady Tours Las Vegas Brain Center, Cites Unique Research
NFL legend Tom Brady visited the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas on Tuesday, spending three hours touring the facility and learning about its groundbreaking research. Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, Raiders minority partner, and partner at Fontainebleau’s Hall of Excellence, was accompanied by Raiders owner Mark Davis, who also serves on the ruvo Center’s board of directors.
The visit centered on the center’s professional sports coalition brain study – the only one of its kind globally. Davis initially joined the board five years ago, drawn by the study’s potential, even before his first visit to the clinic. Doctors Charlie Bernick and Lucy Carriere presented the study’s findings to Brady and Davis during the tour.
Beyond Brady’s visit, Las Vegas entertainment was also highlighted this week. The Windjammers are scheduled to perform at the Copa at bootlegger Bistro on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.),led by Jerry Lopez, who also leads Santa Fe & The Fat City Horns on Mondays at the same location.
Additionally, the “Youth for Youth” holiday concert, founded by Roxy Jones in 2021, will take place Friday at 3 p.m. at Clark High school. The benefit concert, featuring young musicians like Skai Jones and the twin pianists June and Charles Hong, aims to raise funds for the Just One Project, combating food insecurity in southern Nevada, and has already generated over $100,000 for local nonprofits.
