TikTok chef Tineke “Tini” Young and her husband, Antoine Wright Jr., are mourning the loss of their daughter, Arya (Baby A), following a placental abruption. Young announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
The couple, who revealed their twin pregnancy in june 2025 and later confirmed they were expecting two girls in July, experienced the tragedy at almost 36 weeks of gestation. Young explained in her post that the placental abruption led to the loss of Arya.
A placental abruption occurs when the placenta prematurely separates from the uterine wall, potentially depriving the fetus of oxygen and nutrients and causing maternal bleeding. While affecting roughly 1% of pregnancies, it can be a serious complication. Risk factors include abdominal trauma, high blood pressure, premature rupture of membranes, substance use, and multiple pregnancies. symptoms can include vaginal bleeding,abdominal pain,and uterine contractions,requiring immediate medical attention.
Despite the devastating loss, Young shared that their surviving twin daughter is healthy and breathing independently. She expressed her commitment to ensuring her surviving daughter knows about and celebrates her twin sister, Arya.
Young announced she will be taking a break from social media to grieve and focus on her family. The chef gained recognition through her appearances on “Next Level Chef” and her popular TikTok cooking videos.
