New Hill Country Community,Viera,to Bring Over 1,000 Homes to Medina County

A new​ master-planned ​community,Viera,is poised to transform a 540-acre stretch of teh texas ‍Hill Country,bringing upscale living and amenities to‍ Medina County,just west of San ⁣Antonio. Developed by Austin-based Masonwood development, this project marks the firm’s first venture into the San⁣ Antonio area.

Located a​ half-mile from the ​intersection of County⁤ Road 381⁢ and⁤ Potranco ⁤Road, between Castroville and ‌Alamo Ranch,⁤ Viera will ultimately offer ⁢1,047 single-family home ⁣sites⁣ across five phases⁣ of construction. Home prices ‌are projected to range from $400,000 to over $1 million.

Groundbreaking for​ the first phase ‍occurred on November 13th, with 281‌ lots planned for this initial ​stage.​ Construction of the⁣ first residences is anticipated to begin in late 2026.

Viera is designed to​ foster a strong ⁣sense of community, featuring 472 acres dedicated to⁤ residential areas⁤ and the remaining acreage devoted to lifestyle amenities. Thes ⁣include a lifestyle ⁤pool with an outdoor kitchen and pavilion, interconnected‍ trails, and various⁤ gathering spaces.

Future residents will also benefit from improved regional infrastructure. The development will provide access to⁣ the ongoing Loop 1604 expansion project and⁤ the planned Alamo Ranch Parkway expansion, ⁤promising reduced commute times. furthermore, the community is located within the Medina ⁢Valley ‌Self-reliant School ⁣District, which is currently undergoing significant upgrades with a new high school under construction and a‍ recently completed middle‌ school.
