Talking Heads will release a new rarities compilation, Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live, on Record Store Day Black Friday, November 24th. Teh collection features previously unreleased demos from 1975 and 1976, alongside a live recording from August 17, 1976, at the Ocean Club in New York City.
This release offers fans a rare glimpse into the formative years of the iconic new wave band, showcasing early versions of songs that would become staples of their catalog. Tentative Decisions arrives alongside renewed interest in the band, fueled by the recent theatrical and streaming release of the restored concert film Stop Making Sense. The compilation includes demos of “Psycho Killer,” ”Tentative Decisions,” “Warning Sign,” and “Love Goes to a Building on Fire,” among others, plus live versions of “Artists Only,” “psycho Killer” (performed by The Artistics), and “Warning Sign” (also by The Artistics).
