Asbury Park, NJ – A star-studded concert benefiting WhyHunger will take teh stage at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park on December 14th. The “Hungerthon” event promises a powerful night of music and advocacy aimed at addressing food insecurity.
WhyHunger, formerly The FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, is mobilizing artists and supporters to raise awareness and funds for its critical work.The concert arrives during a period of heightened need, as rising costs and economic uncertainty continue to impact families across New Jersey and the nation. Proceeds from the event will support WhyHunger’s programs providing access to nutritious food and advocating for policies that combat hunger.
The December 14th event will feature performances by a diverse lineup of musicians, details of which will be announced shortly. Concurrently, The Transparent Clinch Gallery in Asbury Park will host an “Artist Summit” focused on hunger and poverty, including participation from many of the concert performers and WhyHunger executive director Jenique Jones.
