Sinner advances to ATP Finals Championship with Dominating Win Over De Minaur
Turin, Italy – November 16, 2024 – Jannik Sinner secured his place in the ATP Finals championship match with a commanding victory over Alex de Minaur today at the Inalpi Arena.Sinner defeated De Minaur in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, extending his undefeated run at this year’s tournament to four matches.
The first set saw a prolonged battle for a break,ultimately won by Sinner at 5-5 after converting his eighth break point opportunity. He then swiftly took control in the second set, securing an early break and consolidating it to close out the match 6-2.
The win sets up a highly anticipated final against Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday, November 16th, at 6 pm. Both players have enjoyed notable success this year, each claiming two Grand Slam titles. Sinner won the Australian Open, defeating Zverev in the final, and became the first Italian to win at Wimbledon, also against Alcaraz.
