Manchester United Receive Encouraging Signal From Bournemouth‘s Antoine Semenyo Amid ⁣£65m Release Clause

Manchester United have received a positive indication from Bournemouth forward‍ Antoine Semenyo regarding his tactical flexibility, as the club considers a potential January move for the player. Semenyo, who is valued at £65 million due to a release clause activating ‍in the early stages of the January transfer window, has stated his comfort‍ playing across multiple forward positions.

“I feel like I’m⁤ agreeable playing in ‍any⁢ role across the forward positions,” Semenyo said. “This comes with the ability‍ to use both⁣ feet, I think. I’m comfortable‌ playing whether on the left, right or in the middle. Though, in my head the end goal is to be a No.9. Maybe in the years to come when I’ve built the experience I’ll eventually transition into that, but I’m not too hung up on ⁢that.”

This versatility is especially appealing‍ to United ‍as they evaluate players who can⁤ fit⁣ into manager Erik‌ ten Hag’s system. The release clause is reportedly set to expire ⁣shortly⁢ after the window opens to allow⁣ Bournemouth time to find a replacement.‌

The potential pursuit of Semenyo could be contingent on the departure of current United forward Brian Brobbey, with reports suggesting a⁣ January transfer request is likely if⁣ his‌ playing time does not increase. Should⁤ Brobbey leave, United are expected to prioritize maximizing the transfer fee received and using those funds to secure Semenyo’s signature.
