Gulls Edge Roadrunners in Thrilling 4-3 Victory
TUCSON,AZ – Stian Solberg’s late goal propelled the San Diego Gulls to a hard-fought 4-3 win over the Tucson Roadrunners on Wednesday,extending San Diego’s strong start to the American Hockey League season. The Gulls overcame multiple ties in a back-and-forth contest, showcasing resilience and clutch performance on the road.

Tristan Luneau ignited the scoring early, netting his third goal of the season to give San Diego the initial lead. Jan Mysak quickly followed, adding his third of the campaign and extending the gulls’ advantage. Mysak also contributed an assist on Luneau’s goal, finishing the night with a two-point performance.
however, Tucson battled back in the second period, with Kevin Rooney scoring twice to level the score. San Diego responded swiftly, as Sam Colangelo capitalized on a breakaway just over a minute after Rooney’s second goal, regaining the lead for the Gulls.
The Roadrunners once again found the equalizer in the third period, setting the stage for Solberg’s dramatic game-winning goal with under 90 seconds remaining.Tim Wase then sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final moments of the game.
