Salem City School District Students, Faculty, and Staff now Have Access to Enhanced Hydration
SALEM, N.J. – Students, faculty, and staff across the Salem City School District will benefit from improved access to clean, filtered water thanks to the installation of new hydration stations. New Jersey American Water partnered with the district to fund and implement the project, addressing a critical need for accessible drinking water within school facilities.
The initiative provides a sustainable solution to ensure everyone in the district has convenient access to safe drinking water, promoting health and wellness. The hydration stations are designed to filter existing water sources, removing impurities and providing a refreshing, reliable source of hydration throughout the school day. This investment comes as schools increasingly prioritize student and staff well-being,recognizing the vital link between hydration and academic performance.
“New Jersey American water is committed to investing in the communities we serve, and that includes supporting the health and education of our future generations,” said Mark McDonough, President of New Jersey American Water.”We are proud to partner with Salem City School District to provide these hydration stations, ensuring students and staff have access to clean, safe drinking water.”
The project was completed in September 2024. For media inquiries, contact Chelsea Kulp, Director of Communications and External affairs at New Jersey American Water, at Chelsea.kulp@amwater.com.
