Salahuddin resigns as Bangladesh National Cricket Team’s Senior Assistant Coach
DHAKA,Nov 5,2025 (BSS) – Mohammed Salahuddin has resigned from his position as Senior Assistant Coach of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team (Men’s),the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed today. He will conclude his duties following the upcoming Test and T20I series against Ireland.
The departure of Salahuddin, appointed to the role in November 2024, marks a shift in the national team’s coaching setup as Bangladesh prepares for future competitions. BCB cricket Operations Committee Chairman Nazmul Abedeen Fahim stated the board will discuss the resignation internally before releasing further comment. “He (Salahuddin) has expressed his desire to step down after the series against Ireland. We will discuss the matter internally before making any further comment,” Fahim said.
Prior to his recent appointment, Salahuddin served the Bangladesh National Team as both assistant Coach and Fielding Coach from 2006 to 2010. He also contributed his expertise as a Specialist coach at the BCB National Cricket Academy from 2010 to 2011, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to developing Bangladeshi cricket talent.
The timing of salahuddin’s resignation comes ahead of crucial matches against Ireland, prompting speculation about potential changes within the coaching staff and thier impact on team performance. The BCB has yet to announce any plans for a replacement.
