Saint-Benoît, Réunion – A trio of upcoming events at the Bisik cultural venue promises a diverse range of musical experiences for audiences throughout October, from intimate after-work performances to electrifying urban showcases and open mic nights. The events underscore Bisik’s commitment to fostering a vibrant arts scene in the south of La Réunion island.
Bisik, in collaboration with les Bambous theater, is rapidly becoming a focal point for emerging and established artists, offering accessible cultural programming to the local community. These October performances-featuring Mù, an open stage night dubbed “(K) Ozé,” and a double bill of Savage mirror and Cappuccinegro-highlight the venue’s dedication to showcasing a spectrum of genres and talent.
First up, on Thursday, October 9, Mù will perform at Les Bambous theater as part of a monthly after-work event running from 5pm to 9pm, with the concert beginning at 7pm. Described as a “singular artist with a hybrid sound universe,” Mù blends abstract electro, trip-hop, trap, and drill, performing lyrics in English, French, and Réunion Creole. Entry is free, and the Frog Point Bar will offer cocktails and tapas.
The following Saturday, October 11, bisik hosts “(K) Ozé,” its monthly open stage night, beginning at 7pm. Led by Bertrand Robert and Anabel Féré, the event welcomes “all oralities and all talents” in a spirit of joy and good humor. Entry is free.
Rounding out the month, on Friday, October 17, Savage Mirror and Cappuccinegro will take the stage for an “electropical special issue” featuring rap, electro, and urban beats. Doors open at 7pm.
