FIFA to Announce 2025 Puskas Award Winner December 3rd
Football fans worldwide will find out who has scored the FIFA Puskas Award-winning goal on December 3rd,as the association plans to reveal the victor on its official website. The award recognizes the most stunning goal scored throughout the year, and this year’s competition features a shortlist of 11 spectacular efforts.
The 2025 Puskas Award considers goals scored between August 11th, 2024, and August 2nd, 2025. The ultimate winner will be decided by a combined vote: 50% from fans and 50% from a FIFA judging panel. this year, Indonesia is represented on the shortlist by Persija Jakarta’s Rizky Ridho, nominated for a stunning long-range strike against Arema in League 1.
FIFA described Ridho’s goal as occurring in the 61st minute, originating near his own goal post. “Ten seconds later, the central defender opened the scoring after a neat passing play, a fast run into the opponent’s defense area, and a daring long-range shot that bounced over the goalkeeper and went straight under the crossbar.”
