Philip McGinn, Former Dundalk and Castleblayney Business owner, Remembered After Peaceful Passing
Omeath, Louth – Philip McGinn, formerly of Variety Stores in Dundalk and Castleblayney, Monaghan, has passed away peacefully at his home in Knocknagoran, Omeath. His death marks the end of an era for those who knew him through his long-standing businesses and community involvement.
Mr. McGinn’s passing offers an chance too reflect on his contributions to the local economies of Dundalk and Castleblayney, where his Variety Stores were fixtures for many years. Details regarding his funeral arrangements have been announced, allowing friends and neighbors to pay their respects.
Reposing will take place at his home (A91 X560) on Wednesday, September 3rd, from 2pm to 8pm. Removal is scheduled for Thursday,September 4th,at 11am,proceeding to St. Laurence’s Church, Omeath (A91 NT63) for Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Following the Mass, burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Castleblayney (A75 A302).
For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on Churchdervices.tv. The family has requested that only family flowers be sent. The house will be private on Thursday.
