Title: Pell Grant YTD Record Request & Resolution Process

by Priya Shah – Business Editor

Immediate action Required: Schools Must Reconcile pell Grant Data Before Processing Deadline

The U.S. Department of Education requires schools to reconcile their Pell ⁤Grant data with information⁢ reported to the COD System and resolve ⁤any discrepancies. To aid⁢ in this process ⁢for the 2024-25 award year, schools can request a year-to-Date (YTD) Record, ‍wich provides detailed origination, disbursement,⁤ and⁢ summary information at a ⁢transaction level.

YTD ⁤Records can be requested for individual students or all recipients within a specific program. Schools ‌can⁣ submit requests through the COD‍ website or via a batch data request (Pell Grant ⁣- PGRQ25IN) through the Student Aid ⁢Internet Gateway (SAIG). ‍The requested report will be delivered via the SAIG (Pell Grant – PGYR25OP).

schools can download the necessary file ⁣readers – the pell Grant‍ Reconciliation File report reader or the Pell Grant YTD File report reader, ‌along‌ with usage instructions – from the “COD Resources”‍ section of the COD website.

For EDExpress‌ Users: EDExpress can be used to compare 2024-25 Pell Grant YTD Records with a school’s ‍internal Pell Grant‌ database. Detailed guidance on using the ⁤Compare functionality is available in the 2024-25 Desk Reference for EDExpress Release 2.0, ‍found on ‌the Software ⁤and Other Tools page‍ of the Knowledge Center.

Questions regarding EDExpress comparisons should‍ be directed to the FPS Help Desk at 1-800-330-5947 or support@fps.ed.gov.
