Patrik Hezucký’s Friends Maintain Vigil, Europe 2 Show Pauses Updates
Friends and colleagues are maintaining a constant bedside watch for popular Czech radio personality Patrik Hezucký, who remains hospitalized, with updates suspended on his morning show, Europe 2. Miloš Pokorný told eXtra.cz, “We take turns as a guard. I just arrived in front of the hospital. He’s not alone there for a moment.”
Hezucký,known for decades of partnership with Leoš Mareš in hosting events and broadcasting,is receiving support from those closest to him as he recovers. Mareš shared that Hezucký briefly responded to expressions of support during the night, offering a simple “thank you” when roused. The outpouring of concern prompted Mareš to postpone a scheduled december 6 concert at Ostravar Arena, with a new date yet to be announced.
Mareš described the atmosphere Wednesday night during Hezucký’s Europe 2 morning show, stating, “Several times during the night it sounded: Patrik, we are here with you.” The show itself will no longer provide updates on Hezucký’s condition.
