Patrick “Patsy” Guilfoyle, Beloved Midwest radio Figure, Passes Away in County Mayo
knock, Co. Mayo – Patrick “Patsy” Guilfoyle, a familiar voice to listeners across teh Midwest, has passed away peacefully at Sonas Nursing Home in Knock, surrounded by his family. He was in his [age not specified in source].
A native of Cloonfaughna,Knock,Mr. Guilfoyle is predeceased by his parents, Sarah and Patrick, his brother John (Newport), and sisters Teresa Caulfield (Aughamore) and Sheila McCarthy (Birmingham), and also infant twins Seamus and Pauline.
He is deeply mourned by his wife,Helen,daughters Yvonne (John) Ardee,Colette (Joe) Gort,Fiona (Micheál) claremorris,Denise,Rooskey,and son J.T. (yvonne) Nenagh. Mr. Guilfoyle’s legacy extends to his grandchildren, kate, Joseph, Adam, Jayden, Fionn and Rían, and also his sister Delia Murphy (Galway), brother-in-law frank, sister-in-law Mary-Jo (Newport), and a wide circle of relatives, neighbours, carers and friends.
Reposing will take place at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock (F12 A726) on Sunday evening, September 14th, from 5pm, with removal at 7pm to St. John the Baptist Church, Knock.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30am, followed by burial in Knock cemetery. The family has requested that their privacy be respected at this time and has asked that the house remain strictly private.
Family flowers only are requested, with donations, if desired, to the alzheimer’s Association.
