Park Na-rae Addresses Financial Demands and Embezzlement allegations, Broadcasts Continue Unaffected
South Korean entertainer Park Na-rae is responding to accusations leveled by former managers, including claims of embezzlement and escalating financial demands, while her appearances on major television programs continue without interruption. The controversy began with allegations of threats and demands for “hundreds of millions of won” from the former managers, which have now escalated to a formal complaint filed with authorities.
The dispute centers around accusations that park Na-rae improperly registered an ex-boyfriend as a company employee and used company funds to pay his salary. Her agency vehemently denies these claims, characterizing them as a retaliatory tactic stemming from the initial demands for money and a “personal attack.” The situation has caused “great emotional burden and mental shock” for Park Na-rae, according to a statement released through her agency.
On the 6th, reports surfaced that Park Na-rae’s former managers filed a complaint alleging violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, specifically on charges of embezzlement. The former managers claim Park falsely employed her ex-boyfriend and paid him with company funds.
The agency countered these allegations, stating, “It doesn’t even make sense to call him an ex-boyfriend,” and reiterating that the accusations are linked to the previous threats and financial demands. They maintain the claims are fabricated and intended to damage Park Na-rae’s reputation.
Despite the ongoing legal dispute and public scrutiny, major entertainment programs featuring Park Na-rae are proceeding with scheduled broadcasts. MBC’s “Save Holmes” and “I Live Alone” aired normally, and tvN confirmed that “Amazing Saturday” would also continue as planned, according to a statement to Xports News on the 6th.
