Östersund’s Anderberg Stuns Karlskoga with Last-Second Overtime Winner

KARLSKOGA, SWEDEN – alexander Anderberg scored twice, including teh⁢ game-winning⁣ goal with just three seconds remaining ‌in overtime, as Östersunds IK ⁣defeated BIK Karlskoga 3-2 on Monday evening ​in HockeyAllsvenskan action.⁢ The⁤ dramatic comeback secured two points‌ for Östersund after trailing 2-0.

Karlskoga’s Jonatan‌ Harju opened the scoring with a power-play goal late in the first ‌period,‌ adding his second of the night just eleven seconds into the third to‍ extend the lead to 2-0. Östersund responded with goals from Linus​ Videll at 15:56‍ of⁢ the third and Anderberg at‌ 19:08, ⁢tying the game at 2-2 and forcing‍ overtime. Anderberg’s initial goal was reviewed ⁢for ‍potential goalie interference but was ⁢ultimately allowed.

A power-play​ opportunity in overtime proved decisive,⁤ with​ Anderberg ⁣netting the winner⁢ with only three⁤ seconds left ​on the clock. The goals marked Anderberg’s first tallies in 17 games.

“God, how nice it was. It‍ feels ⁣like I got ten kilos lighter,”‌ Anderberg told TV4 ⁤after the game. He added, ⁢”what⁣ the hell. They shouted here in the Karlskoga⁢ stands that I should ​learn to play hockey, ​so it was extra nice.”
