Sony has released firmware update 25.07-12.20.00 for the PlayStation 5, introducing a convenient new feature allowing users to easily locate the serial number of their console and DualSense controllers. Previously, finding this details required physically inspecting the devices, often in difficult-to-reach locations. Now, the serial number is readily accessible through the console’s settings menu under ’System Information,’ and for connected DualSense controllers via USB or Bluetooth.
The update also brings improvements to the DualSense Edge controller, focusing on stability to reduce potential connection issues and glitches. Minor menu screen adjustments have been implemented for improved clarity and user experience.
This latest update follows a recent change allowing DualSense controllers to connect simultaneously to multiple devices, streamlining the experience for players who switch between their PS5 and PC.
