Mercedes-Benz unveils All-Electric GLC to Slovak Market, Starting at €70,725
Bratislava, Slovakia – Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new, all-electric GLC to the Slovak market, showcasing advanced technology despite a price point that may not immediately appeal to all buyers. The GLC,built on a dedicated 800V electric platform, marks a shift for the model line, replacing the EQC and diverging from electrified versions of the conventional combustion engine GLC.
While not a replacement for the existing GLC and GLC Coupe models, the new GLC represents a significant step forward for Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle strategy. The initial offering, the GLC 400 4Matic, boasts 360 kW of power from dual electric motors, 330 kW charging capability, and 300 kW recuperation power. It features a 94 kWh battery, delivering a WLTP-rated range of 715 km.
The vehicle, measuring 4845 mm in length, prioritizes interior space and incorporates a nearly 1-meter diagonal “hyperscreen.” Five control units manage the vehicle’s electronic functions, enabling constant communication with the Mercedes cloud and advanced features including the brand’s most refined lighting system and a redesigned front grille-now a Mercedes license plate.
The GLC 400 4Matic is available in Slovakia for €70,725. Mercedes-Benz plans to expand the GLC portfolio with two additional versions next year, followed by two more the year after.
