King’s College Baseball Launches “Stockings for Soldiers“ Drive
WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 20, 2025) – the King’s College baseball team is spearheading its annual “Stockings for Soldiers” drive, offering the campus community a chance to support service members, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness this holiday season. This marks the third community outreach initiative planned by the Monarchs during the 2025-26 academic year.
The program aims to provide comfort and cheer to deployed troops, patients at local Veterans Affairs hospitals, and veterans facing housing insecurity. Participants can contribute fully assembled stockings or donate individual items to be incorporated into others. Suggested donations include practical necessities and leisure items such as protein bars, instant coffee, snacks, warm gloves and mittens, DVDs, books, travel-sized toiletries, puzzles, playing cards, and small games.
This annual tradition underscores the team’s commitment to giving back and honoring those who have served. All donations should be delivered to the main desk within the King’s College Scandlon Gymnasium no later than Wednesday,December 10,2025.
Head Coach Jerry Greeley welcomes inquiries about the drive and can be reached at baseball@kings.edu.
