MLBTR Launches Free Agent Prediction Contest with $1,500 in Prizes
MLB Trade Rumors (MLBTR) is inviting fans to test thier offseason forecasting skills with its Free Agent Prediction contest, now open for entries. Participants can submit their predictions for the landing spots of the top 50 free agents, competing for a total prize pool of $1,500.
The contest offers a $500 first-place prize, $300 for second place, and $100 for third. Additionally, the top 15 finishers will receive a one-year membership to Trade Rumors Front Office.
Entries must be submitted by Thursday, November 13th at 11pm central time, and can be edited up until the deadline. A public leaderboard, displaying entrants’ full names, will be published after the entry window closes.Entries using inappropriate names will be disqualified. Email addresses are being collected for winner notification.
The contest will conclude on March 25th, 2026, at which point winners will be announced on MLBTR. Any free agents remaining unsigned as of that date will be excluded from consideration.
In the event of a tie, the winner will be steadfast by the sum of the rankings of correctly predicted free agents, with the lowest total prevailing. For example, if two contestants correctly predict two signings, the contestant whose correct picks have lower combined rankings will be ranked higher.
