Miles merry Cast as Bryan Kohberger in Upcoming Lifetime Movie About Idaho murders
Actor Miles Merry will portray Bryan Kohberger in Lifetime’s upcoming movie, The Idaho Murders, detailing the November 2022 killings of University of Idaho students Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, and Kaylee Goncalves. Production is slated to begin this month.
The film arrives as Kohberger is already serving four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 10 years for burglary, at the Idaho Maximum security institution in Kuna, Idaho. His guilty plea concluded a highly publicized case that gripped the nation and raised questions about campus safety and investigative techniques. The Idaho Murders will revisit the details of the crime and the subsequent examination, offering a dramatized account for a broad audience.
Merry’s casting marks a continuation of his work in true-crime adaptations. He previously appeared in Lifetime’s Devil on Campus: The Larry Ray Story (2024) and Girl in the Shed: The Kidnapping of Abby Hernandez (2022). His other television credits include roles in Netflix’s Untamed and Firefly Lane, as well as NBC’s The Irrational and CBS’s so Help Me Todd and Fire Country.
The Idaho Murders is produced by Navid Soofi for PF Pine Productions inc. in association with Studio TF1 America. timothy O. Johnson, Stacy Mandelberg, and Michael Vickerman are executive producers, and Steven A. Vickerman wrote the script and will direct.
