Airline Compensates Buisness Class Passengers After Utilizing Rented Aircraft

BEIRUT – The airline is offering mileage compensation to business class passengers affected by recent flights operated on rented aircraft that did not fully match ⁤the ‍standard ⁤business class⁤ experience. Between⁣ August 2025 and the present, the airline completed 1301 flights ‌carrying approximately 337,000 passengers, including 111 flights utilizing rented aircraft – representing 8.53 percent of total trips.

The‌ issue stemmed from a ⁢discrepancy in ⁢business class service levels on the rented planes, impacting 2237 passengers out of a total of 46,000 business class travelers,or less than 5 ⁢percent. while passengers still received‍ ground-level business class benefits like lounge access in beirut and⁣ abroad, ‌and baggage services, the ⁤in-flight experience differed from the airline’s usual ‍standards. To ‍address ⁣this, the ⁤airline will ⁤award additional miles based on⁢ destination.

passengers traveling to Europe will receive 20,000 miles. Those traveling to Gulf countries will be granted 15,000 miles. Travelers to Istanbul, Baghdad, Erbil, and Yerevan will receive⁤ 11,250 miles, while passengers to Cairo, Larnaca, and Oman will be compensated with 8,750⁤ miles.
