Airline Compensates Buisness Class Passengers After Utilizing Rented Aircraft
BEIRUT – The airline is offering mileage compensation to business class passengers affected by recent flights operated on rented aircraft that did not fully match the standard business class experience. Between August 2025 and the present, the airline completed 1301 flights carrying approximately 337,000 passengers, including 111 flights utilizing rented aircraft – representing 8.53 percent of total trips.
The issue stemmed from a discrepancy in business class service levels on the rented planes, impacting 2237 passengers out of a total of 46,000 business class travelers,or less than 5 percent. while passengers still received ground-level business class benefits like lounge access in beirut and abroad, and baggage services, the in-flight experience differed from the airline’s usual standards. To address this, the airline will award additional miles based on destination.
passengers traveling to Europe will receive 20,000 miles. Those traveling to Gulf countries will be granted 15,000 miles. Travelers to Istanbul, Baghdad, Erbil, and Yerevan will receive 11,250 miles, while passengers to Cairo, Larnaca, and Oman will be compensated with 8,750 miles.
