Meghan Trainor Responds to Criticism Following Weight Loss and breast Augmentation
LOS ANGELES – Meghan Trainor is defending her recent health and wellness journey after facing criticism related to her 60-pound weight loss and breast augmentation.The singer, 31, addressed the negative comments in a recent interview wiht Entertainment Tonight, published November 12, stating she has “never felt better.”
Trainor, who shares two sons - Riley, 4, and Barry, 2 – with husband Daryl Sabara, acknowledged the increasing negativity but emphasized her commitment to prioritizing her health.”I’m literally for the first time ever, after having babies, taking care of my health to the highest level and I’ve never felt better and I look amazing.I feel great,” she said. “And that’s when people attack me.”
the Grammy winner revealed she’s been working with a dietician, exercising with a trainer, and utilizing medication – specifically Mounjaro, a Type 2 diabetes drug used for weight loss – to achieve her goals following her second pregnancy. She first publicly discussed using Mounjaro in a March Instagram post, stating she sought “science and support” to help her on her journey to become the “healthiest, strongest version of myself.”
Trainor also underwent a breast augmentation, openly discussing the decision after having children and experiencing changes in her body. “I got my dream boobs and they are gorgeous,” she told E! News in March. “I had two babies, I pumped everything out of me and then I lost a bunch of weight, and my boobs were like ‘we’re not boobs,’ you know? I was like, ‘I’m going to get some new ones,’ and that was my dream.”
Despite the backlash, Trainor remains resolute in her focus on self-care.”I’m taking care of myself,” she emphasized. “I have to find a way to not be affected by that.”
