Marjorie Taylor Greene Claims Safety Warnings Following Trump Posts
Washington D.C. - Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene stated she received “warnings for my safety” after posts shared by Donald Trump on social media, according to reports. The posts referenced Greene’s criticisms of the former president and his allies, escalating a public rift between the two.
Greene’s increasing dissatisfaction with the Republican party has been apparent since at least May, when she announced she would not pursue a Senate run and criticized Republican donors and consultants. She later abandoned a potential bid for Georgia governor, denouncing a “good ole boy” system within the state’s politics.
Throughout the summer, Greene aligned herself with figures like Tucker Carlson, dissenting from potential US involvement in regime change efforts in Iran.
More recently, she positioned herself in opposition to the Trump administration’s approach to releasing documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. As the controversy surrounding the Epstein files intensified, Greene called for full disclosure of the documents and videos, stating in September she wanted to expose the “Epstein rape and pedophile network” and adding she was “not suicidal” should anything happen to her.
Earlier this month, Greene publicly criticized the republican-controlled Congress during an appearance on The View, calling it “an embarrassment” for its extended recess and expressing frustration with “the pissing contest in Washington DC between the men.” When asked about perhaps switching parties, Greene asserted that both Democrats and Republicans had failed, advocating for greater female leadership to “sew [the flag] back together.”
