Arcata and Blue Lake Theaters Announce November & December Performance Schedules
ARCATA & BLUE LAKE,CA – Local theater companies are offering a diverse lineup of performances this November and December,ranging from storytelling evenings to a comedic take on a holiday classic.
“Wild Left Turns & Chance Encounters,” which sold out a September performance at the Mad River Grange,will be staged at the exit Theater (890 G St., second floor, Arcata) on Thursday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. The show features stories by Jeff DeMark, Michael Crowley, Pam Long, Siena Nelson and Marvin Samuels, with musical accompaniment by Jeff Landen and Paul DeMark. Before that, “Long Shadr” will have remaining performances at the Exit Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 12, Thursday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m., with Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16 shows at 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at longshadr.com or from Michael at the Logger bar on Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. due to limited seating, early arrival and bar seating is encouraged.
Looking ahead to the holiday season, “Yet another Non-profit Christmas Carol,” written by Michael Fields and directed by Roman Sanchez, will run at the Mad River Grange from Dec. 9 through 14.
