Details Emerge Following Death of Limp Bizkit Bassist Sam Rivers
details are emerging surrounding the death of Sam rivers, founding bassist of nu-metal band Limp bizkit. Rivers was found unresponsive on October 18th in St. Johns County, Florida, and pronounced dead at the scene. He was 36 years old.
Authorities responded to a call regarding a person in cardiac arrest, classifying the incident as an “attended death,” indicating the individual was under medical care for a serious, life-threatening illness with a likely short timeframe for mortality, according to the American Institute of Crime Scene Integrity. An official cause of death has not yet been released.
Despite the loss, Limp Bizkit intends to proceed with their scheduled performances, beginning with a November 29th show at the Explanada del Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, Mexico. A promoter for the event released a statement via ThePRP, saying, ”We deeply regret the passing of Sam Rivers, founding bassist of Limp Bizkit, whose talent and legacy marked generations and will continue to resonate in every note of his music… That night, every riff and every scream of the crowd will resonate in honor of the great legacy Sam offered to Nu-Metal, because his energy will never cease.”
