LG Snatches Victory from Kwan-Jang, Extends winning Streak to Four
Seoul, South Korea – LG secured their fourth consecutive win today, defeating kwan-Jang 78-72 and maintaining their hold on second place in the Korean Basketball League with a record of 10 wins and 4 losses. The victory was fueled by a dominant performance from Carl Tamayo, who led all scorers with 26 points.
Assem Marey added a strong double-double performance for LG,contributing 22 points and an notable 20 rebounds. Despite a near triple-double effort from Kwan-Jang’s Johnny O’Bryant (19 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists), the team was unable to continue their two-game winning streak.
The game saw a shift in momentum after a tightly contested first half where Kwan-Jang initially led thanks to strong play from Han Seung-hee and Bryce Washington. LG rallied in the third quarter, limiting Kwan-Jang to just 14 points while scoring 28 of their own, ultimately taking the lead with a 2-point shot by Marey with 3:21 remaining in the quarter. * korea Gas Corporation Defeats Hyundai Mobis: Daegu Korea Gas Corporation defeated Ulsan Hyundai Mobis 67-57, securing their fourth win of the season (11 losses) and closing the gap with 9th-place Sono to just one game. The victory also ended a three-game home losing streak against Hyundai Mobis. Kim Jun-il recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds for Korea Gas Corporation, supported by Nick perkins’ 12 points and 11 rebounds. Despite a strong showing from Rayson Hammonds (23 points,10 rebounds) for Hyundai Mobis,the team suffered their third consecutive loss and fell to 6 wins and 10 losses,landing in 8th place.
