Cozumel Chaos for Kim Woo-bin Ahead of Wedding to Shin Min-ah
SEOUL, South Korea – Actor Kim Woo-bin faced a series of mishaps during a recent trip to Cozumel Island, Mexico, documented on the tvN program “Kongkongpangpang,” just weeks before his scheduled wedding to actress Shin Min-ah. The incidents, ranging from accommodation cancellations to scooter breakdowns, caused visible frustration for the groom-to-be and his co-stars, Lee Kwang-soo and Do Kyung-soo. The couple, who began dating publicly in 2015, will celebrate their marriage at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on april 20th, marking the culmination of a decade-long relationship.
The trip took a turn when their initial accommodation reservation fell through, leading to a scramble for alternatives. Producer Na Young-seok revealed the team had secured new rooms “as soon as the reservation was made,” prompting Lee Kwang-soo to jokingly accuse them of taking their original booking. “You guys took our room, right?” lee Kwang-soo asked, a sentiment echoed by Kim Woo-bin. Lee kwang-soo later quipped, “Sorry, but we were trying to reserve that room,” adding that a pleasant final night’s lodging considerably impacts the overall trip experience, though acknowledging past preferences: “To be honest, my home office was much better in the past.”
Despite eventually securing luxurious new accommodations, further misfortune struck when Do Kyung-soo’s scooter malfunctioned mid-ride while en route to view the sunset. “It’s broken,” Do Kyung-soo stated, describing the scooter’s erratic behavior. The situation worsened as rain began to fall, forcing the trio to abandon their sunset viewing plans. Do Kyung-soo, however, found a silver lining, noting his consistent luck in being assigned to solitary confinement throughout the trip: “I’ve been living alone since I came here, except for the house where my stomach hurt. I think I’m definitely lucky on this trip.”
