Kim Kardashian-Led ‘All’s Fair‘ Renewed For Season 2 At Hulu
Hulu has renewed Ryan Murphy‘s satirical drama series, All’s Fair, for a second season, signaling continued confidence in the show’s unique blend of scripted storytelling and reality television commentary. The renewal comes as Season 1 concludes with a two-episode finale on December 9.
All’s Fair, starring Kim Kardashian, premiered this fall and quickly garnered attention for its meta-narrative exploring the world of celebrity, media, and public image. The series, a project born from a dinner facilitated by Disney Entertainment co-Chairman Dana Walden between Murphy and Kris Jenner, offers a fictionalized look at Kardashian’s life and career. The show’s success underscores Hulu’s strategy of embracing high-profile, unconventional projects and leveraging the star power of figures like Kardashian.
The first season boasts a strong ensemble cast including Laverne Cox, O-T Fagbenle, Armani Barrett, Jamarcus Kilgore, Joshua Suiter, Ed O’Neill and Hari Nef, alongside a roster of high-profile guest stars such as Grace Gummer, Kate Berlant, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Jack Davenport, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Brooke Shields.
Murphy revealed at the L.A. premiere that the show originated from his desire to collaborate with Kardashian and Jenner. “It started because I saeid I really wanted to meet Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian.Dana facilitated a dinner, and I did something I’ve never done in my career, wich was I brought a reality pitch.” While the initial reality pitch wasn’t immediately embraced, it ultimately led to Kardashian’s role in Season 12 of American Horror Story and the advancement of All’s Fair.
Kardashian, who recently took the California bar exam, shared that the project reinforced her belief in limitless possibilities. “I never felt like I had to be stuck in this box that I couldn’t do what I wanted to do, or at least try,” she told Deadline. “There’s no age limit. There’s no barriers. Anything you want to do, try. What’s the worst that can happen? Just go for it. Just start.Just do it.”
All’s Fair is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television. Ryan Murphy writes and executive produces alongside Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Lyn Greene and Richard Levine. Kardashian, Glenn close, naomi Watts, Nkechi Okoro Carroll nash-Betts and Sarah Paulson also executive produce, alongside Jenner, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson and Nissa Diederich, with Anthony Hemingway executive producing and directing.
