Kendrick Lamar Bogotá Concert Canceled hours before Show Amid Safety Concerns
Bogotá, Colombia – The Kendrick Lamar concert scheduled for March 28th in Bogotá was canceled just hours before the artist was set to take the stage, leaving thousands of fans stranded and prompting an inquiry into the event’s organization. ocaesa and Páramo, the concert organizers, issued an apology to both attendees and Lamar, acknowledging the distress caused by the last-minute decision.
The cancellation follows over five hours of delays, initially attributed to technical issues with the stage setup. Ticket prices for the concert ranged from 229,000 to 699,000 pesos plus service fees. While organizers have promised refunds for the ticket value, many attendees had traveled from outside Bogotá, incurring additional expenses for transportation and lodging.
This cancellation marks the second high-profile concert to be scrapped in Colombia in recent months. Shakira’s February 24th concert in Medellín was also canceled due to reported structural failures in the stage setup.
