Jim Ross Advises WWE’s Omos to Improve In-Ring Movement
WWE star Omos needs to refine his in-ring performance, according to wrestling veteran Jim Ross. The AEW senior advisor and renowned commentator shared his assessment following Omos’ recent performance at Wrestling AAA Worldwide’s Triplemanía XXXIII event last month, where the 7’3″ athlete won the Bardahl Cup.Ross highlighted the viral appeal of Omos’ visual contrast with AAA’s Microman (3’3″) as a triumphant marketing tactic by both AAA and WWE, which acquired a stake in the promotion. However,he believes Omos’ potential remains untapped without improved agility. “He just has to get rid of his two left,” ross stated on his “Grilling JR” podcast, while acknowledging Omos’ “amazing look [and] amazing physique.”
Omos’ TripleMania appearance marked a return from a stint with Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, where he held the GHC Tag team Championship with Jack Morris as part of Team 2000X. He relinquished his title to Daga upon returning to WWE. Prior to his time in NOAH, Omos held the WWE World Tag Team Championship once alongside AJ Styles.
The Hall of Famer’s comments come as Omos is slated for increased visibility and a push for top championships in both WWE and AAA. Ross’s advice signals a potential focus on developing Omos’ in-ring skills to match his impressive physical presence.
