Jeep Unveils All-Electric Recon, Aiming for 2026 Market Entry
Stellantis debuted the all-electric Jeep Recon today, signaling the brand’s aggressive push into the burgeoning electric SUV market. The Recon, designed with serious off-roading capability in mind, boasts 650 horsepower adn 620 pound-feet of torque delivered via a 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack.
The arrival of the Recon represents a pivotal moment for Jeep, challenging the brand to balance its heritage of rugged, gasoline-powered vehicles with the demands of an increasingly environmentally conscious consumer base. The recon’s powertrain allows for a swift zero-to-60 mph acceleration time of 3.6 seconds.Jeep has equipped the interior with a 14.5-inch horizontal touchscreen – the largest ever featured in a Jeep vehicle - alongside classic design elements like Wrangler-inspired LED taillamps, a swing gate, and removable doors.
