actor Jan Trojan Celebrates Para-Hockey Bronze,Film “Invincible” Set for Release
Actor Jan Trojan is experiencing a double victory: celebrating a bronze medal win with the Czech Para-Hockey team at the World Championships and preparing for the November 20th theatrical release of “Invincible,” a film where he portrays coach Radim Trojan. The film chronicles the team’s journey and indomitable spirit.
Trojan, who also co-produced “invincible” alongside hynk Čermák, drew heavily from his own experiences to embody the role of a coach motivating athletes through adversity. He developed many of the film’s inspirational speeches by reflecting on his own sports career and considering how to best support his team. ”I always asked myself how I should behave as a coach and behave towards the boys. And I wrote and imagined enough of those speeches. I drew a lot of things from my sports career,” Trojan said.
The actor hopes the film will resonate with audiences beyond the realm of sports, inspiring viewers to overcome their own challenges.”I would like the audience to leave the cinema feeling that they can be better people or that there are people here who can inspire them,” Trojan stated. He emphasized the message of inclusivity and possibility within para-sports, adding, ”When you get injured and don’t have a leg, for example, and you see a movie like this, you can say that you can actually do sports and live on.”
“Invincible” will premiere in Czech cinemas on Thursday, November 20th, bringing the story of the para-hockey team’s unwavering determination to a wider audience. despite stepping away from active coaching, Trojan shared that the players still affectionately refer to him as “coach.”
