#3/2 Houston men’s Basketball falls to #17/15 Tennessee, 58-51
HOUSTON, TX - Teh #3/2 University of Houston Cougars men’s basketball team suffered a 58-51 defeat against the #17/15 Tennessee Volunteers Tuesday at the Players Era Championship. Tennessee used a 10-point run in the second half to take a 51-46 lead with 9:42 remaining and held off Houston despite a close contest.
The Volunteers maintained the lead for the remainder of the game, securing the win by converting free throws.
Houston will conclude its participation in the Players Era Championship on Wednesday against an opponent to be resolute by tournament results. The Cougars will then face Florida State in the Houston Hoops Showdown at Toyota Center on Saturday, December 6, at 7 p.m.CST, broadcast on Peacock.
