Norwegian actor Jon Flesvig embraces immersive character work to the point of surprising his family, often returning home still in costume from his role in the NRK Christmas calendar “Nissene i skjul.” Flesvig, known for his comedic timing, says his children and partner have grown accustomed to his playful antics.
Flesvig portrays multiple characters in the series, which draws inspiration from reality TV hits like “Forræder” and “The Game.” He describes a home environment filled with “nonsense, fuss and fuss,” as his dedication to roles extends beyond the set. He recounts instances of arriving home in full costume, refusing to break character promptly.
According to Flesvig, his family finds the situation amusing. “They don’t have a choice, either,” he jokes, suggesting their acceptance is less a matter of preference and more a matter of course. The actor believes his children are beginning to grasp the extent of his commitment to his craft.
