Title: Harpoon IPA Gets a Modern “Boston’s IPA” Refresh

by David Harrison – Chief Editor

Boston, MA – Harpoon Brewery today unveiled⁤ a redesigned look for its flagship harpoon IPA, balancing a⁤ nod too the brewery’s‍ pioneering roots with a contemporary aesthetic. The refresh, rolling out‌ across all packaging formats, aims to solidify‍ Harpoon IPA’s ⁤position as a leader in the New⁤ England‌ craft beer scene.

Founded in 1986 as the first craft brewery in Boston, Harpoon has long been synonymous with the ‍growth of craft brewing in the ⁣region. This packaging update isn’t simply cosmetic; it’s a strategic ‍move to connect with‍ both loyal, long-time ⁣drinkers and ⁣a⁢ new generation of craft beer ⁣enthusiasts as⁣ the ‍market evolves. The redesign honors⁣ the brewery’s history while signaling continued ⁢innovation ‌and a‌ commitment to ⁢quality.

The new packaging maintains the familiar Harpoon imagery⁣ while incorporating a cleaner, more modern design. The update extends to cans, bottles, six-packs, twelve-packs, and tap handles, ensuring a consistent ⁤brand presence. Despite⁤ the visual evolution, the beer itself remains unchanged – the same⁤ radiant, floral, and crisp IPA introduced in 1993 that helped define the category.

Harpoon Brewery’s mission has⁤ always centered on‍ building community through remarkable beer. The brewery has expanded beyond⁣ its ‌original Seaport District location to include facilities in Windsor, VT, Manchester, ⁤NH,‍ a ⁤seasonal ⁤Boston common pop-up, and Logan Airport.‌ Harpoon IPA remains a ⁣cornerstone⁣ of the brewery’s portfolio, alongside a⁣ range of seasonal ⁣and⁣ limited-release beers.

Harpoon ⁢Brewery is part of ‍Barrel One Collective, which also includes ⁣Long Trail, Smuttynose,⁣ and Wachusett, all focused on championing quality ⁢craft beverages and community engagement.
