Hanyang University ERICA Hosts Successful ‘2025 Intelligent Robot Consortium Festival’
Hanyang University’s ERICA campus buzzed with innovation on the 25th as it hosted the ‘2025 Intelligent Robot Consortium Festival,’ featuring both the Intelligent Robot Consortium Preliminary Competition and the IRC4U Speech Competition. The event showcased the creative problem-solving skills of engineering students and fostered the development of convergence talent prepared for industry demands.
A total of 12 teams participated in the creative thorough design preliminary round, presenting solutions rooted in their major knowledge. Soongsil University’s ‘Ending Fairy’ team secured the grand prize with their presentation on an ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based emergency evacuation optimization service for large concert halls.’ Simultaneously, the IRC4U speech contest saw six teams address topics aligned with the intelligent robot consortium’s focus, with Kwangwoon University student Oh Jun-seo winning the grand prize for his speech titled ‘Engineering students and a enduring future: the path to achieving SDGs.’
The festival is part of an ongoing effort by Hanyang University’s ERICA Engineering Education Innovation Center to motivate students and cultivate a sense of pride and responsibility within the engineering field. “This event was prepared to motivate students to test their creative design abilities based on the major knowledge they have learned and to grow into convergence talents that meet industrial demands,” stated Seongjun Lee, Director of the Center. “We will continue the program to increase pride and responsibility as engineering students through innovation in engineering education.”
