Hanyang University ERICA Hosts Successful ‘2025 Intelligent Robot Consortium Festival’

Hanyang University’s ERICA campus buzzed with innovation ⁣on the 25th as it hosted ‍the ‘2025 Intelligent Robot Consortium‌ Festival,’ featuring both the ⁣Intelligent Robot Consortium Preliminary ‌Competition and the ‍IRC4U Speech Competition. The event showcased ⁢the creative problem-solving skills of engineering​ students and fostered the⁢ development of convergence ‌talent prepared for industry demands.

A total of 12 teams participated in the creative thorough design⁢ preliminary round,presenting solutions ⁢rooted​ in their major knowledge. ‌Soongsil University’s ‘Ending⁤ Fairy’ team secured the grand prize with their presentation on an ‘Artificial‍ Intelligence ​(AI)-based emergency evacuation optimization service for​ large concert ‌halls.’ Simultaneously, the IRC4U⁢ speech contest saw six teams address ‌topics aligned with ⁢the intelligent robot consortium’s focus, with Kwangwoon ⁤University student ⁣Oh ‌Jun-seo winning the grand prize for his speech titled ‘Engineering students​ and a enduring future: the path to ⁣achieving⁤ SDGs.’

The festival is part of‍ an ⁣ongoing​ effort by Hanyang University’s ⁢ERICA Engineering Education Innovation Center to motivate students and cultivate a sense ‍of pride and⁤ responsibility within ‍the engineering field. “This⁢ event was prepared to ​motivate students to test their creative design abilities based on the⁣ major knowledge they have ⁣learned ⁣and to grow‍ into convergence talents that meet industrial ⁣demands,” stated Seongjun Lee, Director of⁢ the Center. “We will continue the program to increase pride and⁤ responsibility as engineering students through innovation in engineering education.”
