Title: Eastman School of Music & College Fair: Admissions Event Details

ROCHESTER, NY – October 26, 2023 – The Eastman School of Music will host two significant admissions events on November 10, 2023, offering prospective students and thier families opportunities to experience the renowned music school firsthand.

The events include a Fall Open House from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, providing a thorough overview of Eastman’s academic programs, campus life, and financial aid options. Attendees can participate in facts sessions, campus tours, and observe classes and rehearsals.

Later that day, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Eastman will hold a Portfolio Review Day for prospective undergraduate students applying to performance programs. This event allows students to receive feedback on their performance portfolios from Eastman faculty. Registration for Portfolio Review Day is required in advance at 585-274-1060.

Founded in 1921 by George Eastman, the Eastman school of Music is the first professional school of the University of Rochester. It currently enrolls more than 900 students in its Collegiate Division – approximately 500 undergraduates and 400 graduate students – representing nearly every state and approximately 23 percent from countries around the world. The faculty comprises over 170 performers, composers, conductors, scholars, and educators, including Pulitzer, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Guggenheim award winners. Eastman’s students, faculty, and guests present over 900 concerts annually to the Rochester community, alongside over 1,700 community members enrolled in the Eastman Community Music School.
