Vital Update Regarding Monday‘s Weather Forecast
CHICAGO – Despite a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service from 9 p.m. tonight through noon on Monday, November 10, Chicago Public Schools (CPS) will remain open and classes will be held as scheduled.
CPS officials confirmed that the Facilities Team will prioritize maintaining warm and dry buildings, as well as clearing sidewalks and parking lots to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Families are encouraged to take the following precautions as colder weather arrives: limit needless outdoor exposure, dress children in multiple layers of loose-fitting, warm clothing, and ensure hands, heads, ears, and feet remain warm and dry.
CPS assures families that any changes to this plan will be communicated directly via email, text message, and robocall. Updates will also be available on the district website, cps.edu, and through local media outlets and CPS social media channels.
