The storm, which began with snowfall across much of the state, transitioned to sleet and rain in southern and eastern Connecticut. Northern and western areas, particularly along and north of Interstate 84, received primarily snow, leading to slick roadways. Several accidents have already been reported on I-84 and I-91.The northwest hills are expected to accumulate the moast snow, with totals reaching three to six inches. Temperatures are currently in the mid-30s to low 40s.
Precipitation is anticipated to end around 10 p.m., but lingering late snow showers and a potential flash freeze pose continued dangers. Motorists should exercise extreme caution, as black ice is likely to form on Wednesday.[[
