Columbus Kicks off holiday Season with Christmas at the Park and Breakfast with santa
COLUMBUS-The City of Columbus will launch its holiday celebrations this weekend with two festive events: Christmas at the park, presented by Discover Columbus, and the YMCA’s Breakfast with Santa. Christmas at the Park will be held Saturday, December 6, at Stearns Park, beginning at 5 p.m., followed by Breakfast with Santa on December 7 at Stearns gym from 9 a.m. to noon.
Christmas at the Park promises an evening of family fun, starting with a holiday parade designed to delight all ages. Following the parade, attendees can enjoy Story Time, featuring tales intended to spark holiday cheer and inventiveness.A dedicated letter-writing station will allow children to send their wishes to Santa, with a return address encouraged for a personalized response from the North Pole.
Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled to make a special appearance during the evening, culminating in the official Lighting of the Christmas Tree at 6 p.m. This annual tradition marks the official start of the holiday season for the Columbus community.
On Sunday, December 7, the YMCA will host Breakfast with Santa. The event, priced at $10 per child, includes a breakfast meal alongside Christmas-themed crafts and games. Children will have the chance to meet and take photos with Santa Claus.
