Bianchi, Italy – The 39th annual Chestnut Festival will bring food, music, and traditional crafts to the centre of Bianchi, in the presila region of Cosenza, tomorrow, October 19th, starting at 2 pm. The event promises a lively atmosphere centered around the roasting of chestnuts in the traditional “rusellara.”
This year’s festival, a cornerstone of Bianchi’s cultural calendar, will feature roasted chestnuts prepared in numerous ways – from desserts and ice cream to chestnut-based pasta – alongside local beverages and handcrafted woven baskets. A charity raffle will also be held.
The local Pro Loco, led by President Angelo Francesco perri and the board, has organized the event. Musical entertainment will be provided by the cover band Hungry Hearts, featuring Marco Sando, Mauro Nigro, Mirko Catavero, Eugenio Taverna, Antonio macchione, and Santo Mastroianni, who will perform Bruce Springsteen covers beginning at 5 pm.
