The body discovered inside an impounded Tesla in the Hollywood Hills has been identified as 18-year-old Liliana “Lily” Rivas, authorities confirmed to Rolling Stone. The cause of death remains unknown, and an investigation is underway. The revelation has intensified scrutiny surrounding musician D4VD (Noah Burke), with whom Rivas reportedly had a relationship.
The case began with a seemingly abandoned Tesla, observed by residents of the affluent Bird Streets neighborhood as early as May. The vehicle sat for at least three weeks before being towed. Following the identification of rivas, law enforcement searched a nearby residence on Doheny Place, rented as Febuary 2024 to Josh Marshall,Burke’s manager. The unfolding investigation has prompted the cancellation of Burke’s tour and the suspension of brand partnerships with Crocs and Hollister.
TMZ previously reported that Rivas had a “boyfriend” named David, referencing Burke, and social media has circulated photos and videos appearing to show Rivas and Burke together.
The impounded tesla was towed from the Bird Streets, an area known for its secluded and expensive properties. Neighbors had noted the vehicle’s presence in the neighborhood for months prior to its removal.
Burke, 20, has not publicly commented on Rivas’ death. He performed a scheduled show in Minneapolis the day after the remains were found, but later canceled the remainder of his tour. Both Crocs and Hollister have paused campaigns featuring Burke in the wake of the news.
