Boulder‌ County Residents Invited to Weigh In on $12.3 Million Disaster Recovery Plan

Boulder County, ​Colo. – Residents have an opportunity to shape teh future of local disaster recovery efforts as the State of Colorado seeks​ public input on proposed changes to​ its Community Advancement Block Grant for Disaster recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan. The plan outlines⁤ the allocation of $12.3 million in federal funds earmarked for housing, infrastructure, economic development, ⁣and resilience initiatives following the Marshall fire of ⁣December 30, 2021.

the State initially approved the ​CDBG-DR‌ Public Action ⁢Plan in ⁢November 2022, followed by Ample Amendment‍ #2 in May 2025 to address remaining needs. This latest proposed amendment, released for⁤ public comment ⁤on September 10, 2025, aims to further⁤ refine the distribution of funds and ensure they effectively address ongoing recovery challenges. The draft Action Plan is available for review on the DOLA​ website.

A virtual Public​ Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. MST, to provide‌ residents with ⁣detailed information⁢ about the proposed program and budget changes. Spanish translation and ASL interpretation services will be available.
