Boulder County Residents Invited to Weigh In on $12.3 Million Disaster Recovery Plan
Boulder County, Colo. – Residents have an opportunity to shape teh future of local disaster recovery efforts as the State of Colorado seeks public input on proposed changes to its Community Advancement Block Grant for Disaster recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan. The plan outlines the allocation of $12.3 million in federal funds earmarked for housing, infrastructure, economic development, and resilience initiatives following the Marshall fire of December 30, 2021.
the State initially approved the CDBG-DR Public Action Plan in November 2022, followed by Ample Amendment #2 in May 2025 to address remaining needs. This latest proposed amendment, released for public comment on September 10, 2025, aims to further refine the distribution of funds and ensure they effectively address ongoing recovery challenges. The draft Action Plan is available for review on the DOLA website.
A virtual Public Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. MST, to provide residents with detailed information about the proposed program and budget changes.
