Blue Jays Defeat Mariners 8-2, Even ALCS at 2-2

The victory pulls Toronto even with Seattle,which won the first two games of the ALCS in Toronto – 3-1 in Sunday’s Game 1 and 10-3 in monday’s Game 2. Toronto’s offensive output dramatically shifted in Wednesday’s Game 3, with five Blue Jays hitting home runs in a 13-4 win.
Thursday’s win guarantees the ALCS will extend to at least six games.
Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at T-Mobile Park, beginning just after 6 p.m. ET, and will be the final game of the series played in Seattle. Toronto plans to start Kevin Gausman, their Game 1 starter, while Seattle will counter with Bryce Miller, who earned the win in Sunday’s Game 1.
Game 6 is slated for Sunday night at Toronto’s Rogers Center, with a start time just after 8 p.m. ET.
The ALCS winner will advance to the World Series to face either the Milwaukee Brewers or the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are competing in the National league Championship Series.
Toronto is aiming for its first World Series berth in over three decades, while Seattle is seeking its first-ever appearance in the Fall Classic.
