Mass Effect 4 Advancement ‘Solely Focused,’ BioWare Confirms on N7 Day 2025
EDMONTON, ALBERTA – November 7, 2025 – BioWare reaffirmed today that development of the next Mass Effect game is actively underway, addressing fan anticipation during the annual N7 day celebration. In an open letter published on the BioWare blog, Executive Producer John Davison stated the team is “down and focused solely on mass Effect,” despite a busy period for the studio.
The update comes after years of waiting following the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2017 and a period of restructuring within BioWare. While details remain scarce, davison highlighted the scope of the project, noting the team is working on a “huge universe to cover, many features to build, and many romances to figure out.” He assured fans that a reveal is forthcoming, stating,”When we’re ready, its going to be a lot of fun to show it off.”
Beyond the game, BioWare also acknowledged ongoing collaboration with Amazon on a Mass Effect television series. Davison expressed excitement for the project, adding, “We’ve been working closely with Amazon on that, and we’re really excited to see what the talented team over there comes up with.”
N7 Day 2025 also included announcements of cosmetic DLC for Apex Legends and Skate, but the primary focus remained on the future of the Mass Effect franchise. BioWare hopes the next installment will revitalize both the series and the studio’s standing within the gaming community.
