Emma Stone Reportedly Turned down Role in The Batman: Part Two
Actress Emma Stone was reportedly offered a role in Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman: Part Two, but ultimately declined the possibility, according to sources at The Hollywood Reporter. Details regarding the specific character offered to Stone remain undisclosed.
The news arrives as pre-production ramps up for the sequel to the 2022 blockbuster, which grossed nearly $772 million worldwide. The Batman: Part Two is intended as the next installment in Reeves’ standalone Batman universe,separate from the newly established DC Universe (DCU) spearheaded by James Gunn adn Peter Safran,operating under the “Elseworlds” banner. Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, alongside returning cast members Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as commissioner Gordon, and Andy Serkis as alfred. The film, currently titled Batman’s Crime Saga, is slated for release in October 2027.
