LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider university Baseball unveiled its comprehensive 2026 schedule today, highlighted by a challenging slate of road matchups, a return to the Liberty Bell classic, and a 10-series Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) campaign. Head Coach Lee Lipinski’s Broncs are poised for a competitive season as they aim for a berth in the MAAC Championships and a potential NCAA Tournament bid.
The schedule features back-to-back season-opening road series,beginning February 20-22 at UNC Asheville,followed by a three-game set at Delaware,February 27-March 1. This early road work is designed to test the team’s resilience before returning to Sonny Pittaro field for their home opener against Siena, March 13-15. The Broncs’ pursuit of the MAAC Championship, culminating in the tournament May 20-23 at Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls, NY, begins with a conference series at Sacred Heart, March 6-8.
Rider will also participate in the Liberty bell classic, opening against Delaware on March 24, with the location and time yet to be steadfast. Non-conference mid-week contests include road games at NJIT (april 7), Princeton (April 15), and a home game against Seton Hall (april 14).A late-season non-conference matchup against Rutgers is scheduled for May 6 at Sonny Pittaro Field.
Additional MAAC home series include Marist (April 2-4),Manhattan (April 17-19),and Saint Peter’s (May 14-16). Road conference matchups are set against Mount St. mary’s (March 20-22), defending MAAC Champions Fairfield (April 10-12), Monmouth (April 24-26 – non-conference), Niagara (May 1-3), and Quinnipiac (May 8-10).
